Prior to the merger, the legacy Fife colleges began implementing energy-saving measures in the early 2000's. Since the 2013 merger, Fife College has implemented reasonably well-established processes for monitoring carbon emissions and project list to achieve carbon savings.
The key issues now facing the College comprise the changes to the built estate, staff/service user throughput and increasing energy consuming equipment and facilities all of which will have significant impacts on future carbon emissions. Fife College’s Carbon Management Team will continue to take measures to adapt the CMP to any potentially significant impacts on achieving Carbon Management Plan targets.
